The goal of the project is to create a new institutional app/website for selling bus tickets and reviving the Itapemirim brand.
About:
Itapemirim was founded on July 4, 1953, in Espírito Santo (BRAZIL), operating its first route between Castelo and Cachoeiro de Itapemirim. At the time, its fleet covered only 100,000 km per month.
Expansion took place in the 1960s with the acquisition of routes in the North and Northeast regions, as well as the Vitória–Rio de Janeiro route. During this period, the company also introduced a new visual identity, with its buses adopting the now-iconic "Itapemirim Yellow" color.
In the 1980s, operations expanded further, connecting the Southeast to the North and Northeast of Brazil. To meet increasing demand, Itapemirim established its own manufacturing facility, producing 200 bus bodies per year.
By the early 2000s, the company launched Golden Service, offering sleeper buses for a more comfortable travel experience. Around the same time, Itapemirim introduced Cinebús, its first onboard TV service, on the São Paulo–Rio de Janeiro route.
In 2016, amidst financial struggles and undergoing judicial recovery, Itapemirim was sold for R$1 to Sidnei Piva de Jesus.
In September 2022, the Brazilian courts authorized Suzantur to take over Itapemirim’s bus operations, marking a new chapter in the company’s history.
For this analysis, we selected apps and websites from market-leading companies in bus ticket sales and management. The study focused on key aspects such as convenience, innovation, and ease of navigation throughout the purchasing journey.
